The Public Plans Database (PPD) consists of detailed financial and actuarial data for some of the largest public pension plans in the nation. However, many of these plans are governed by retirement systems that are responsible for the administration of one or more additional plans——some included in the PPD, others not. This state quick-fact provides a summary of large pension plans and retirement systems in the state, with links to more detailed information for plans included in the PPD. With few exceptions, the data covers the period from 2001 to the most recently available plan reports, and the historical charts presented in this page mirror the period for which PPD data are available.
